Izzy Chern: "Elliot" & Costume Designer

Izzy Chern (they/them) is a queer theatremaker born and raised in Chicago. They graduated from the University of Denver in 2021 having earned a BA in theatre with distinction in acting.

They were introduced to the world of theatre at age 8 and realized there was nothing else they would rather do. Izzy began their official theatre training at age 14 at The Chicago Academy for the arts. Since then, they have been seen onstage in over 20 productions ranging from classics to new works (The Wolves, Hedda Gabler, Kid Simple, Cymbeline, Noises Off!). Along with their work onstage, they are also well versed in directing, designing, and technical theatre.

Gracie Jacobson: "Olivia" & Producer

Gracie Jacobson (she/they) is a 23-year-old artist whose passions lie in arts access and equitable arts education. They recently graduated from the University of Denver where they earned a BS in Finance and BA in Theatre. Gracie started their theater journey at 5 years old in their first show, "The Wizard of Oz." Gracie performed and worked in children's theater from age 12-18, their favorite role being Sally in "The Cat in the Hat." Other directing/assistant directing credits include Tony Kushner's "Flip, Flop, Fly!", Dale Wasserman's "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" at Sterling Correctional Facility, as well as annually directing "The Vagina Monologues" for the Gender Violence Prevention team at the University of Denver (2019—2021).

Kevin Douglas: Playwright & Sound/Projections Co-Designer

Kevin (he/him) is a playwright, filmmaker, producer, and teaching artist from Denver. He completed his Bachelor’s (Theatre/English) and Master’s (Management) degrees at the University of Denver. Upon graduation, he co-founded Two Cent Lion with Gracie Jacobson and Izzy Chern. He currently lives in London, where he is completing his Master’s in Screenwriting at Raindance Film School. His plays, films, and TV series aim to create positive queer representation by exploring the complexity (and the messiness) of human relationships.

Drew Mitchell: Director & Scenic Designer

Drew (he/him) is a queer theatre maker and artist born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He graduated with a BA in theatre and religious studies from the University of Denver earlier this year and is now working as a social worker. In years past he has worked as a designer, actor, and director on productions such as 3:59 am: A Drag Race for Two Actors (DU), A Thanksgiving Play (DU), Off The Gradient (Two Cent Lion), and Lonesome West (DU). He is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to pursue his passion for theatre with Two Cent and do theatre with his friends.

Delanie Stephens: Stage Manager

This is Delanie's (she/they) first production with Two Cent Lion and she is thrilled to be a part of the team! She has been doing theatre for so long and enjoys every last bit of it. She would like to thank everyone that has supported her unconditionally! She hopes you enjoy the show!

Kaylie Groff: Props Designer

Kaylie Groff is a theatre artist and educator currently based in Denver. Born and raised on the east coast, they stay connected to their home state of Vermont by volunteering as a dramaturg and acting coach for the Vermont Youth Dancers. In their spare time, they spend way too much money at artist markets, and run high fantasy D&D games (and they’re always looking for new players!).

Taelor Hansen: Sound & Projections Co-Designer

Taelor Hansen (she/her) studied theatre and media at Pomona College, focusing primarily on directing, sound design, and new play development. She is passionate about bringing queer stories to the stage and honored to be working with Two Cent Lion. 

Erin Kubat: Assistant Scenic Designer

Erin Kubat is a Junior at the University of Denver and is a theatre and Japanese double major with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics. She has worked on over 50 productions in multiple capacities including acting, sound design, directing, carpentry, electrics, and set design. This is her first show with 2 cent Lion and she is very excited to be working with such a wonderful group of people.

Maxwell O'Neill: Light Designer

Maxwell O'Neill (he/him) is a theatre artist and technician working in the Denver metro area working for the past five years. He works a variety of jobs and positions, such as lighting designer for Bailey Theatre Company, director with Denver Theatre Ensemble, tech & performer with Colorado's Elusive Ingredient (Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadowcast), a performer at Casa Bonita, as well as being involved in the immersive community as much as possible.
